Not Quite 25 Things I’ve Learned In 25 Years

Not Quite 25 Things I’ve Learned In 25 Years

A very common trend on the internet right now is doing the whole, 30 things I’ve learned in 30 years.

Well, today is my birthday and I am turning 25, so what a great opportunity to create a 25 things in 25 years list! But I’m not going to do that. I’m going to go for quality over quantity.

Instead, I am going to list some of the most important things I can think of that have really stuck with me up to this point in my life, so here we go.

Scared money don’t make money

If you are going to be successful in anything, you have to just go do it. If you want to win, you have to play – plain and simple. Say yes to things you might not be ready for, and do everything you can to learn, learn, learn, along the way. Take chances.

You won’t actually ‘start tomorrow’

Too many times in my life I have employed the ‘I’ll start on Monday’ strategy. Too many times, I never did. I have been fairly disciplined and done what I know I have needed to do in order to stay productive and healthy, but part of having a drive to get better is exactly that – I always want to get better. From here on out I know for a fact I will do a better job of beginning something immediately, and committing to it with everything I have.

No two people are the same

Just because something works really well for someone else, doesn’t mean it will work for you – or that it is the only way to do it. We all know how unique we are, and this is no different when it comes to systems and methods that help us become healthy and successful. Find what works best for you and roll with it.

Coffee is great

I love coffee. Black coffee. I drink it every single day. It tastes great and it helps me in so many ways.

The secret to success is consistent action

All you have to do is DO THINGS, and do them over and over again. You can learn anything. You can accomplish anything. But you have to actually take action and continue to take action.

Find your purpose and motivation wherever you need to

And as I mentioned above, no two people are the same. What motivates someone else might not work for another person. This is going to be totally unique to you!

The power of the Universe (God) is so real

What you think about and focus on is what you will attract, whether it is positive or negative. Your thoughts have a great power that will bring whatever they create in to your life. If you want something, ask for it, and then go get it. Karma also plays a part in this. What you put out is what you are going to get! If you are polite and loving, you will see more of that in the world.

There are more correlations between football and real life than you can ever imagine

People tend to mock sports as ‘just a game,’ but I swear to you football is so much more than that. Teamwork, discipline, effort, intelligence, communication, and more than I can even name. Having been a part of this sport for almost my entire life, I can swear up and down that it is one of the best ways to develop someone as an entire person.

NCAA 14 is the best video game ever made

I love it and wish I could play it all day every day. I did while I was in college, but I am an adult now so unfortunately that won’t fly.

If you don’t look back at yourself on almost a yearly basis and think ‘Wow, I was an idiot,’ you might not be growing

Idiot is a little harsh, but you get my point. You should be getting better each and every year and when you look back on yourself, you should realize how much you wish you knew. If this stops happening for you, you likely are no longer getting better.

Do what you love and what makes you happy

This will be my last one, as it is probably the most popular and the most simple. If you don’t like what you are doing, do something else. Make changes you need to make to make your life what you want it to be. You are in control!

Here is to another great 25 years!

What is New Dimension Supplement Club?

What is New Dimension Supplement Club?

If you are reading this, the chances that you’ve at least seen the words ‘New Dimension Supplement Club’ on one of my social medias are pretty high.

I’m finally going to answer the question that titles this article.

New Dimension is an exercise supplement club that currently boasts a product line of four items.

  • Whey Protein
  • Pre Workout
  • Creatine
  • Amino Acids

Formerly known under a different name and created in 2015, myself and three other business partners came together to purchase the company and rebrand/rename it. We have officially owned the company for two months, and things are really starting to fall in to place.

I have learned a TON that I will share another time and in a different setting, but there are definitely some things that I can take away and teach on that don’t involve Shopify, FBA, Recharge, Conversio, Gempages, etc.

But for now, back to New Dimension.

We are a supplement CLUB not a supplement COMPANY. We model our purchases on a membership basis, with a recurring purchase discount. Meaning that if you head to our site you will be able to purchase a tub of protein at retail price once, or you can cut 15% off the cost if you decide to sign up for automatic monthly reshipment’s.

Since we are still in our infancy, and we purchased a previously existing brand, that means we have some product to move.

1,000 units to be exact.

Gear coming soon.

When we purchased the company, it came with assets from social medias, website domains, email marketing lists, as well as inventory.

The absolute BEST part of all of this though? The inventory is high quality product.

Let me say that again…

As an athlete who has been taking supplements for the last ten years, I have tried and tested quite a few different lines of supplements.

Before we bought this company I USED THE SUPPLEMENTS FOR A MONTH.

If they weren’t great supplements, we would not have bought the company. We wouldn’t have bought 1,000 units of sub-par product to sell to our customers. We are in this, and we are selling the former companies supplement line because we believe in it.

Once we sell out of the 1,000 units we currently hold, all we are going to do is change the packaging to match our branding, and add a few flavor variations to our product lines.

There is nothing for us to reformulate because the ingredient lists are already exactly what we would like to sell.

Clean ingredients packaged in an FDA approved manufacturing facility. Short lists of ingredients that prove there are no fillers and no additions you don’t need.

That explains New Dimension in a nut shell, but if you have any other questions please visit our site and check it out!

If you read this all the way through and are interested in trying some of our supplements, head to our website and follow the links to our Instagram page where we have an active giveaway rolling until Wednesday of this week. Follow us, like our most recent picture, let us know what your biggest summer goal is, and be entered to win a weeks worth of free supplements!

Supplement Your To Do List With A To Be List

Supplement Your To Do List With A To Be List

One thing that I have done a very good job of lately is constructing (and most of the time completing) daily to do lists.

In the morning before I walk out the door I note down about three or four things off the top of my head that I know I need to get done that day. Usually this early morning list is the same every day.

  • Study
  • Lift
  • Read 10 pages

Then throughout the course of the day more things will come up, and I will continue to add to them. I may get a text from a business partner asking me to edit something on our website. My mom might call me and tell me to give my grandma a call.

You get the point.

But I thoroughly enjoy putting these things down on paper, and getting to put that check mark next to them.

For the last month I have been developing this habit and getting better and better at it, but today I realized something (with the help of the Aubrey Marcus Podcast)…

I focus too much on doing, and not enough on being.

I spend so much time and energy on external things such as tasks and assignments, that I can often neglect the internal aspects.

  • Love
  • Happiness
  • Empathy
  • Righteousness

All of the external tasks in the world will not matter if you are not consciously monitoring and controlling the internal being that you are.

What I am going to start doing, and what I would recommend you start doing as well is this;

Create two lists for yourself throughout the day

To do list

  • Workout
  • Write a blog post
  • Go for a walk
  • Read 10 pages
  • Finish spring install plan
  • Call 5 customers

To be list

  • Present
  • Aware
  • Happy
  • Thankful

You and I know that the content of these lists could almost be infinite. They could be different every day, or they could be the same every day.

But much like a to do list, as your day moves forward, be aware of what you are checking off your to be list. Purposefully choose moments of your day where you are intently aware.

Put your phone down while you eat and take a moment to actually taste your lunch and enjoy it. Be thankful for the simple fact that you are doing well enough in life and in such a position that you are able to enjoy a lunch every single day.

Even if it is only for the 15 minutes you are eating, you are then able to check aware and thankful off of your to be list.

When you add in a couple more moments of happiness and presence, for 30 minutes that day you have focused on nothing other than being you and experiencing your life as you.

We get so caught up in the hustle of our daily lives and I am a huge victim of this recently, that I forget to step back and slow things down. I forget to remember how blessed I am to have a lunch to eat, to have a bed to sleep in, to have a body that is healthy and able.

I, and you, need to purposefully think for just a few moments a day, about how and what you are being.

I hope this will help you as much as I know it will help me.

Why You Need to Practice Extreme Patience and Urgency

Why You Need to Practice Extreme Patience and Urgency

Patience and Urgency.

So damn important.

Don’t set your sights too far ahead so that you fail to realize all of the small wins you have.

Just because you are aiming for something and fall short does not mean that you have failed. It means that you are that much closer to achievement.

I have been working out 4x a week consistently for the past 7 weeks, which is a win to me.

Sometimes I look in to other aspects of my life and realize I haven’t accomplished everything that I would like to, but I am moving forward in different parts of my life and that is perfectly fine.

You can only go so fast, remember to enjoy the process.

Enjoy getting better at one thing at a time, enjoy building up one habit at a time, the rest will follow.

Don’t get too caught up in anything other than the present moment, you’ll regret it later.

All of that being said though, you must work urgently on a daily basis.

Work every day like you will realize all of the results you hope to see at the end of the day, but then know that it is probably going to take twice as long to accomplish as you’d originally thought, according to Hofstadter.

If you are building a house, you need to show up on the construction site every day and work like you need to get it finished by the end of that day.

Work quickly, efficiently, tirelessly to finish building that house on that particular day.

Leave the job site knowing in the back of your head that it will most likely be a few more months before the home is finished, but know that you will return to the site tomorrow with the same energy that it will be finished by the end of the day.
